Today, running in a stuffy, sticky gym, I wondered about the use of outdoor runs versus indoor ones. Yes, I have always claimed that the importance of getting outside is half the battle - but there is something to be said about those days when you don't feel like anyone watching your slow, slow split times and less than endurance-displaying breathing.

On these days, when the thought of showing my urban neighbors here in Buenos Aires the sight of my poor running form is enough to send me back to the couch, the gym is just the thing.

The point?

That 30 dollar a month membership just might be your saving grace sometimes.
