What is a good time to run a mile in?

Although it may seen like a silly question, discovering the answer to what YOUR best mile time is could be the key to taking you to the next step in your running speed.

Even if you are not looking to up your running speed, try this to determine whether or not your running program is actually increasing your endurance instead of just maintaining the status quo:

Go to the local track and time yourself once every three weeks during your regular training program.

After 3 months - note if your times are improving at all.

If they are, good job.

If not, it's time to incorporate tiny speed efforts into your daily runs.
